PADI COURSES

BUBBLE MAKER


Duration: about 1-2 hours
Minimum age: from 8 years
Maximum depth: 2 m

Course description: Bubble Maker program presents scuba diving as an activity for children allowing them to experience the underwater world. Under close supervision, participants, equipped with scuba gear, swim in a protected environment and in shallow water. At the end of the program children gets a certification card and a certificate of recognition to allow them to keep a souvenir of their experience.

DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING

Duration: 1 day
Minimum age: from 10 years
Maximum depth: 12 m

Course description: Everyone, children and adults of all ages can explore the underwater world, hand in hand with one of our experienced dive instructors. The course begins with a theoretical introduction to scuba diving, followed by some practical exercises in confined spaces (pool area enclosed sea). This experience can be part of your Open Water Diver course if you decide to continue.

SCUBA DIVER

Duration: 2 days
Minimum age: from 10 years
Maximum depth: 12 m

Course description: This is the basic certificate PADI training standards: from 10 years old, this certification allows you to dive with a professional diver (Dive Master or Instructor) to a maximum depth of 12 meters. This training lasts only two days, during which you will learn the theory and key techniques of diving. You will continue your training with two dives, aboard one of our daily boats. This training is already more than a half of the theory of Open Water Diver course, no obligation for you to continue in the course of PADI. However, these gains will already validated for the passage of an Open Water Diver certification.

OPEN WATER DIVER

Duration: from 4 to 5 days
Minimum age: from 15 years (from 10 years for Junior Certificate)
Maximum depth: 18 m (12 m for Junior Certificate)

Course description: An international standard of scuba diving certification, Open Water Diver course is the best choice for beginners. This certification allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters, with another certificated diver. The training includes a theoretical part (you can start learning in advance, with appropriate training materials – available on request or from PADI International). But the theory is just the beggining, you will make 8 dives (4-5 days) with your diving instructor and you will learn how to dive safe. You can also combine this course with PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox). If you have already participated in the Discover Scuba Diving, Scuba Diver or in the part of PADI Open Water Diver, you can complete your training with the Open Water Diver (option “referral”) course.

ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER

Duration: 3 days
Minimum age: from 15 years (from 12 years for Junior Certificate)
Maximum depth: 20 m (12 m for Junior Certificate)

Required certification: PADI Open Water Diver
Course description: This is the logical consequence of your Open Water Diver training to become scuba diver. This is an opportunity to review your theoretical knowledge of your initial training, and complete the training to become independent. Again, the honor is given to the practice. You will make 5 dives topics: According to program, there are two required topics: an orientation (you train with compass) and a deep dive. Then you can choose three additional dives according to your aspirations and opportunities: drift diving, wreck diving, night diving, diving special photography, scuba discovery in biology and wildlife identification, buoyancy control etc.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE (EFR)

Duration: 1 day
Minimum age: no requirements
Number of dives: 0
Required certification: no
Course description: This course is designed for divers as non-divers, for added security in everyday life: it combines training in First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR or CPR). This additional training is required for PADI Rescue Diver and PADI Dive Master certification.

RESCUE DIVER

Duration: 5 days
Minimum age: from 15 years (from 12 years for Junior Certificate)
Maximum depth: 20 m (12 m for Junior Certificate)

Required certification: PADI Rescue Diver and PADI EFR (or equivalent)
Course description: If You are a scuba diver, and you want to learn more, this course is designed to improve your skills and rescue techniques, how to manage your own stress. You also learn how to assist other divers and manage emergencies that may occur during and after diving. This comprehensive training, physical enough, will give you the foundation for risk management in order to more safe and fun dive.

ENRICHED AIR DIVER (Nitrox)

Duration: 2 days
Minimum age: from 15 years
Number of dives: 4
Required certification: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
Course description: For more safety and more pleasure during your dives! During this short training, you will learn to dive with Nitrox – an oxygen-enriched air (up to 40% oxygen). With only a few hours of theory, you will make your first dive with Nitrox, during day trip at sea. This course can easily be combined with a dive package, or training (PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver etc.)

DIVE MASTER

Duration: 10-12 days
Minimum age: from 18 years
Required number of dives: minimum 40 dives
Required certification: PADI Rescue Diver and PADI EFR (or equivalent)
Course description: This very intense training is offered as the first professional level in PADI standards. This is the beginning of your career as a professional diver. You will deepen your theoretical knowledge in physics, physiology, equipment and ecology. You will improve your skills in order to be a model for divers that you supervise. But this is not all: you ‘ll learn how to organize and supervise dive activities in your role as diving supervisor and assist of an instructor during training or coaching. (including mapping a dive site and proceeding dive briefing …. do not forget, you’re a professional!) Plan a stay of 2 weeks in order to study in peace… and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Safaga!


FFESSM/CMAS COURSES

LEVEL 1

Duration: 4 days
Minimum age: from 12 years
Maximum depth: 20 m

Number of dives: 8
Course description: This is the initial certification for the beggining diver. It provides the knowledge about basic safety and comfort during diving. In the end of the course a group of divers (maximum 4), with an instructor dive to a depth of 20 meters.

LEVEL 2

Duration: 5 days
Minimum age: from 16 years
Maximum depth: 20 m (or 40 m, extended)

Number of dives: 10
Required number of dives: minimum 20
Required certificate: Level 1 (or equivalent)
Course description: This practical and theoretical training leads to autonomy in the area of 20 meters and diving framed in the area of 40 meters (divemaster skills, management autonomy, management of decompression diving).

LEVEL 3

Duration: 5 days
Minimum age: from 18 years
Maximum depth: 60 m

Number of dives: 10
Required number of dives: minimum 80
Required certificate: Level 2 (or equivalent)
Course description: This practical and theoretical training leads to autonomy in the area of 60 meters (divemaster skills, management autonomy, management of decompression diving and dive organization).
REMEMBER!
Diving Regulations

1. The depth of the dive is limited to 40 meters or less according to the certification of the diver.
2. Don’t dive alone, always dive with your buddy.
3. Use complete equipment and checked it before every dive.
4. Don’t drink alcohol, don’t consume drugs.
5. End your dive with a safety stop (3 minutes made between 3 and 6 meters).
6. Every diver has to be in possession of a medical certificate of not contraindication of practice of scuba diving (dated less than one year), or to sign himself a medical statement.
7. Drink enough water, avoid dehydration.
8. Don’t dive within 24 hours before your flight.
9. If you separate with your dive buddy, look for him no more than one minute before surfacing and join him in the point of exit initially planned.
